Through the personal generosity of its members, the Allegany County Retired School Personnel (ACRSP) association presented on March 14, 2024, a check in the amount of $300 to George's Creek Elementary School. The donation will allow individual teachers to purchase additional instructional materials and provide educational incentives that promote positive student behaviors. The Maryland Retired School Personnel Association (MRSPA) and the Allegany County Retired School Personnel (ACRSP) presented on January 2, 2024, a check in the amount of $300 to Alexandrea Kellermeyer and Allegany High School to help fund Ms. Kellermeyer's " Filling Empty Bowls" student community service initiative. The MRSPA grant will help Ms. Kellermeyer’s S.H.O.P. (Students Helping Other People) students participate in the Western Maryland Empty Bowls project, which raises money for the Western Maryland Food Bank.
